About All Saints' Parish Church, Leamington SpaThis iconic church building at the heart of Royal Leamington Spa was rebuilt in 1842 and finally completed in 1902, although Christian worship has been offered on this site for nearly a thousand years. We look forward to welcoming you into our inclusive and friendly community which includes families, students, and professionals from around and beyond the town. We are always delighted to have visitors from the UK and beyond worshipping with us too. We seek to fulfil our calling as the historic Parish Church for the town and all its people, and in accordance with our broad Anglican tradition, we're glad to welcome married and single, LGBTI and straight, able-bodied and disabled people from a range of backgrounds and nationalities. Whether you're a lifelong, devout Christian, an atheist, an agnostic, a searcher after truth, or just an 'ordinary' person, we invite you to come.
All Saints' Parish Church - to locals, often just 'the Parish Church' - is part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Coventry. It's an awe-inspiring Grade II* listed building, constructed in French Gothic style, and located within a conservation area between the Parade shopping area and the more diverse High Street end of Leamington. We're very close to the railway station, the famous Jephson Gardens, and the Royal Pump Rooms, and the buses stop outside our door. Please come on in (when we're open!). We love to welcome visitors and newcomers, and the church (along with the cafe inside) is normally open on Wednesdays (1030-1300), Thursdays and Fridays (1030-1400) and Saturdays (1030-1230) as well as for our regular services. We have a long tradition of high-quality music. Our robed choir sings a wide range of music from plainsong through to contemporary compositions. We also host and promote concerts and organ recitals, with the capacity to accommodate a full choir and symphony orchestra along with a large audience. Within the local community, the churches in the town are increasingly working together and that has been a great enrichment. All Saints hosts and supports Nightlight, a weekly project to offer free hot drinks and a listening ear to those out and about on Friday nights. We are a collection point for the local Foodbank. Some of our members are involved in other aspects of the Church's work, for example Warwick Hospital (as Lay Chaplains), The Well Christian Healing Centre, and the Street Pastors. Others are working out their faith in the secular world, in medicine, education, the law, business and commerce. As the town's historic Parish Church, and one of the most spacious and most flexible in England, we are pleased to host special services, concerts, exhibitions and other events for a wide range of organisations on a one-off or regular basis. Please contact us to discuss how we can help you. |
