All Saints' Choir was formed as a surpliced choir in 1842, and has a long tradition of fine choral music. In term time the Choir sings the Eucharist every Sunday morning, and Choral Evensong monthly.
The choir welcomes women and men alike, and has recently begun a children's section, currently open to children around 7-8 years of age.
We are always pleased to hear from singers interested in joining us, and we offer choral scholarships to a limited number of university undergraduates.
The Choir's repertoire includes interesting and beautiful music from 9th to 21st centuries, sung in the spectacular setting of All Saints. Occasionally we have the privilege of a cathedral visit - in August 2011 it was in residence at St George's Chapel, Windsor and at Chichester Cathedral. 2012 residencies were at York Minster and Norwich Cathedral, and the Choir also sang Evensong at New College Oxford. In 2013 we visited Lichfield Cathedral to sing the services; in 2014 we went to Canterbury. Click here to listen to recordings of the choir.

Join us!
Would you like to become part of our competent and friendly Choir? We're actively recruiting!
Can you read music and sing in tune?
Would you enjoy playing a part in helping to enhance the music and worship of the Church?
Come and join us. We don't look for 100% attendance - that isn't feasible for many younger working people, given today's lifestyles - but you'd need to come frequently enough to feel you belong. Ideally that would mean at least two Sundays with associated Friday evening rehearsals per month. Our members sign up for the attendance they can commit to half a term or a term in advance, and we choose the music to match the resources.
The choir is a friendly and supportive community with regular social events throughout the year. The sense of community extends to include spouses, partners and children of choir members. The congregation is also supportive, and appreciative of our role.
Whilst the current choir members are all adults, we would be open to accepting children too.
