Safeguarding

Children and adults deserve the best care that the Church can provide. If anything has gone wrong, or if you have concerns that something might be wrong - either in the church or elsewhere - please do not ignore it.

If you have any safeguarding concerns or allegations, please report them promptly. This can be done in several ways:

  • If a child or adult is in immediate danger of serious or significant harm, or needs medical attention, contact the emergency services immediately by dialling 999
  • The Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO) can be contacted using the information displayed on the noticeboard inside the church or on [email protected]
  • You can contact us through our website and ask for the PSO or the Vicar to contact you. Please be aware that the contact form is seen in confidence by the Vicar and by office staff. Do not disclose the content of your concern or allegation on the contact form
  • You can telephone the church office during office opening hours (01926 429 169), or telephone the Vicar's office (01926 424 016), and if there is no reply, leave your contact details for one of us to get in touch
  • You can speak to one of the clergy following a service and they will pass on your contact details to the PSO or Vicar as appropriate
  • If the allegation or concern is about the Vicar or PSO, contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Team or 24-hour helpline. Details are here and below.
The PCC has adopted the Diocesan Safeguarding Policy which can be referenced here
The Coventry Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor is Sarah Price

Past Cases Review 2 (PCR 2):
Like other parishes nationwide, we checked for any previously unreported cases of concern involving church officers or workers (paid staff or volunteers). Although that formal process has been completed, it does not mean that the opportunity to report historic matters of concern has closed; if there are any matters of concern still outstanding, please report them as above to the Parish Safeguarding Officer, Vicar, or Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. Thank you.
