Service Schedule at All Saints' Parish Church, Leamington Spa

Picture
Easter Week:
During the week following Easter Day, there will be a break from public midweek services.

Attending in church

You're most welcome to worship with us on Sundays at 8.00am or 10.30am, and we'd love to see you. Covid-19 precautions mean it's not quite the same as we're accustomed to, but we're glad to be able to worship together despite the restrictions. The services are usually live-streamed on our Facebook page for those who cannot get to church or who would prefer not to do so at present.
As ever, visitors and newcomers are most welcome. There is no need to book.
Please familiarise yourself with the precautions listed below if you're planning to attend in person.
The 8.00am said service of Holy Communion is held in the Lady Chapel, where we are using a HEPA air filter to supplement other precautions.
For the 10.30am service, the Choir is present each week during term-time to sing part of a Mass setting and a Communion anthem. We're now singing three congregational hymns (please sit in the front half of church and wear a mask if singing, and sing softly).
Please join us for refreshments after this service.

Regular Streamed Services
Join in worship from the comfort of your own home - or wherever else you are - and link up with many others in shared prayer and listening to the words of Scripture.

Services are streamed on our Facebook page, usually live. You can follow them on your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.

Monday to Friday (streamed only):
9.15am Morning Worship (7.45am on Wednesdays)
We use the Time to Pray app. with the longer New Testament reading set for Morning Prayer instead of the reading set on the app. On Thursdays there's generally a well-known hymn. On Fridays we pray using the Litany.

Every Sunday:
8.00am Holy Communion.

This is also live-streamed.
10.30am Parish Communion.
This is also live-streamed.

Friday
12.30pm Lunchtime Prayers.

This service is not live-streamed.

Orders of service:
Sunday orders of service can be found on our page on A Church Near You.

Covid-19 precautions for services in church
The lifting of restrictions doesn't mean that the risk of infection has gone away; on the contrary, the outlook remains serious. We will therefore continue to exercise great care in what we do, and invite you to take appropriate precautions too, for the sake of others as well as yourself.

  • Please do not come if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms which might indicate infection, or if you need to self-isolate.
  • Please continue to wear a face mask, over your nose and mouth, for as long as you are in church (unless you are exempt).
  • Please keep social distance at all times, inside and outside the church.
  • Please sanitize your hands at the welcome table, and go straight to your seat.
  • Seating: Please use the chairs in the front half of the Nave if you'd like to sing and/or are comfortable with others singing nearby. Otherwise, please sit on one of the chairs further back.
  • If singing, please do so softly and keep your face mask on (except for the Choir).
  • The Vicar will wear a mask before, during, and after the service, except whilst preaching.
  • Note that the heating draws in and heats fresh air from outside, so the building is both well ventilated and warm during services.
  • If you wish to receive Holy Communion, please come forward when directed. The Vicar will dip your wafer into the chalice and place it into your hands using tongs, without speaking. Please consume your wafer straight away, and replace your mask whilst returning to your seat. Hand sanitiser is available as you return via one of the side aisles.
  • The Communion bread is placed into a covered container as hygienically as possible. It's kept covered (as are the tongs and the wine) except during the time it's being distributed.
  • If you don't wish to receive Holy Communion, please also come forwards. The Vicar will say a prayer of blessing for you silently, along with the sign of the Cross.
  • We are not taking a cash collection during the service. We remain grateful for donations left on the plate at the sidesman's table as you leave; or many of our members give by bank transfer or the Parish Giving Scheme; we also usually have a contactless pay point available after the 10.30am service. We are running at a loss of over £2,000 per month at present as our income has been badly affected by the lockdowns, so please be generous!
  • Please be careful to keep social distance when leaving the service.

Live-streaming: please note that the wifi signal in church is relatively poor, and bear with us if the quality is poor or if there is a break in transmission.
