Service Schedule at All Saints' Parish Church, Leamington Spa

Attending in church
You're most welcome to worship with us on Sundays at 8.00am or 10.30am, and we'd love to see you. Covid-19 precautions mean it's not quite the same as we're accustomed to, but we're glad to be able to worship together despite the restrictions. The services are live-streamed on our Facebook page for those who cannot get to church or who would prefer not to do so at present.
As ever, visitors and newcomers are most welcome. There is no need to book.
Please familiarise yourself with the precautions listed below if planning to attend in person.

Regular Streamed Services
Join in worship from the comfort of your own home - or wherever else you are - and link up with many others in shared prayer and listening to the words of Scripture.

Services are streamed on our Facebook page, usually live. You can follow them on your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.

Monday to Friday (streamed only):
9.15am Morning Worship
We use the Time to Pray app. with the longer New Testament reading set for Morning Prayer instead of the reading set on the app. On Thursdays there's generally a well-known hymn. On Fridays we pray using the Litany.

Most Sundays:
8.00am Holy Communion.

This is also live-streamed.
10.30am Parish Communion.
This is also live-streamed.

Orders of service:
Sunday orders of service can be found on our page on A Church Near You.

Covid-19 precautions for services in church
  • Please do not come if you have any symptoms which might indicate infection, or if you need to self-isolate.
  • Please wear a face mask, over your nose and mouth, for as long as you are in church (unless you are exempt). This is a legal requirement for places of worship.
  • Please keep social distance at all times, inside and outside the church.
  • The outer door will be open and the inner doors are automatic, so there is no need to touch them.
  • Please sanitize your hands at the welcome table, and go straight to your seat.
  • We have a few printed orders of service available, but encourage worshippers to bring their own electronic or paper copy (see above). Any paper used should be taken home for disposal. We are also projecting the words onto a screen at the front of church.
  • Choose a seat with a sticker on. This indicates that it is clean. Remove the sticker and take it away with you, then we will know the chair should be cleaned before the next use.
  • The seats are placed in pairs, at least 2m apart. The centre aisle is 4m wide. We can easily move seats to accommodate larger households - please ask the sidesmen when you arrive. For young children we can create a contained space; it would help us to know in advance if you would like that.
  • The Vicar will wear a mask throughout the service, and is a good distance from the congregation during the spoken parts of the service.
  • The Choir, when permitted to be present, is reduced in number and faces across the front of the church, a good distance from congregational seating.
  • Singing by the congregation is not permitted. Please say the spoken parts in a soft voice.
  • Note that the heating draws in and heats fresh air from outside, so the building is both well ventilated and warm.
  • If you wish to receive Holy Communion, please remain seated with your mask on, and hold your hands clearly to receive the bread. The Vicar will bring it to you, without speaking, and place it onto your hands using tongs. Please wait until he returns to the altar and says the words of administration before moving your mask to consume it.
  • The Communion bread is placed into a covered container as hygienically as possible before the service. It's kept covered (as are the tongs) except during the time it's distributed.
  • If you don't wish to receive Holy Communion, the Vicar will remain at a social distance and say a prayer of blessing for you silently.
  • We are not taking a cash collection during the service. We remain grateful for donations left on the plate at the sidesman's table as you leave; or many of our members give by bank transfer or the Parish Giving Scheme; we also usually have a contactless pay point available after the service. We are running at a loss of over £2,000 per month at present as our income has been badly affected by the lockdowns, so please be generous!
  • Please be careful to keep social distance when leaving the service.

Live-streaming: please note that the wifi signal in church is relatively poor, and bear with us if the quality is poor or if there is a break in transmission.
