The Cafe at All Saints' Church, Leamington Spa In 2022, war broke out in Ukraine. Amongst the millions fleeing, a group of young people arrived in Warwickshire under the Government Ukraine Scheme. They were musicians, journalists, tattoo artists, but the war forced them to leave their lives behind.
Together, they decided that they wanted to share Ukrainian culture through the medium of delicious food, and thanks to hard-work and perseverance, Cafe Tisto was opened! Cafe Tisto strives to support the integration of young Ukrainians newly arrived in the UK, with the belief that employment and entrepreneurship is the best path towards familiarisation with British culture, work norms and the English language.
