LEAMINGTON ART FEST 22
The Art Fest – to be held in the Victorian splendour of All Saints’ Parish on the first Saturday of December - will showcase some of the finest examples of fine art and design, created by Warwickshire artists.
We are delighted that this year there will be an additional festive sparkle to the Art Fest – an array of Christmas Trees, which will form part of the Christmas Tree Festival the following week and will contribute to the magical atmosphere of the event and further enhance the beauty of the building. As one of England’s largest parish churches, All Saints rivals many cathedrals in size. It exists first and foremost as a place of worship with high quality choral and organ music, but its imposing nave with lofty pillars, impressive arches and vibrant stained glass also lends itself to many other uses in the community. It is particularly sought after as a venue for concerts (seating up to 500 people in the nave and gallery) and as exhibition space, when the moveable seating allows for flexibility in creating individual display units. Art and in particular photographic exhibitions, are regular annual events and attract many people into the building, but All Saints has also been used for theatre and dance performances, history festivals, various conferences, awards ceremonies, presentations - and even as a film location! We are very much looking forward to hosting our local artists and designers this year and would further like to extend a warm invitation to all – whether from near or far – to come and be inspired by the majesty and beauty of the place. |
